Leigh Sales – $280K
In 2019, Leigh Sales was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia for her service to broadcast journalism. It’s fitting for someone who dedicated her life to the profession since 1995, exploring every possible avenue for journalism to be practiced through.
Sales has held prominent positions like being a political reporter at state elections for ABC and a correspondent to Washington. She also published her first book, Detainee 002: The Case of David Hicks, in 2007. Now, Sales has a podcast called Chat 10 Looks 3 and hosts the current affairs program 7.30.
