When The Queen Stops Eating, You Should, Too
Dining with the queen is a privilege that many dream of experiencing, but it also has one drawback. Proper dining etiquette requires everyone to stop eating at the dinner table once Queen Elizabeth has finished her meal. This rule has been broken before, though.
As Paul Burrell, a former royal butler, shared, it happened when Her Majesty was hosting a dinner for a local prince in the South Pacific aboard a royal yacht. During the dessert course, the prince forgot to wait for the queen and prepared himself a fruit bowl. He realized his mistake when he looked at the British monarch as he was about to start eating.
