John Inverdale – £250K
John Inverdale was a tennis player and an editor in college. And after graduation, he landed roles with the BBC that honed his tennis expertise. Some of his past assignments include coverage of the French Open and Wimbledon. Apart from tennis, Inverdale has covered several other sports since he joined them in 1982.
Today, he remains with the network while juggling gigs on ITV. In 2021, the BBC released a list of high-earning presenters on its payroll. According to The List, Inverdale earns between £200K and £250K annually. Not bad for a broadcaster who’s interviewed the biggest sportspeople and anchored top sporting events.
