Johnny Mathis is an acclaimed famous music singer who has had a majorly successful career spanning over six decades, with several of his albums classified as platinum or gold. The multitalented songwriter has transversed multiple genres, from jazz, soul, rhythm and blues, country music, and Brazilian tunes.
Despite his long career and old age, Mathis is still churning out melodies and doesn’t look like retiring anytime soon. The Grammy Award winner still loves to perform, and with over $400 million in his bank account, he has an A-list retirement to look forward to should Johnny ever change his mind.
Tim Curry, 76 Years Old
Tim Curry is an actor who started his career in the late ’60s and is known for some very iconic projects like “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” “It,” and “Titanic.” Curry is also a singer and performed in musicals. He is continuing his music career, but his acting has taken a backseat since 2012.
Now, he is mainly focused on voice acting and singing. Curry has been a part of the industry for around five decades now and has still not taken up retirement. Even though he may not act much anymore, he’s still not retiring.
Bobby Sherman, 79 Years Old
Remember the 1969 hit song “Little Woman?” Well, the man behind the tune was the American former singer Bobby Sherman, who was a well-known teen idol in the ’60s and ’70s. A prominent actor as well, Sherman was involved in show business until 1997, when he announced his retirement.
Sherman disappeared from the public eye in the early ’00s but remained active. He started working as a reserve deputy sheriff in San Bernardino County and held the position until 2010. From 2010 onwards, he’s been presumably retired for good. A philanthropist as well, Sherman runs a foundation that supports promising young students in Ghana.
